DCA to host national meeting on poultry health, processing, live production

OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Delmarva Chicken Association’s 57th National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production is scheduled for Oct. 3-5 at the Ocean City Fontainebleau Resort.
The meeting is intended for veterinarians, processing facility managers, quality assurance managers and supervisors, grow-out managers, live production managers, flock supervisors, growers, pharmaceutical representatives, allied businesses, government regulators and officials, research faculty, university extension and others involved in the regional and national poultry industry.
More than 400 people are expected to attend from across the United States and hear the latest updates on research and policies regarding poultry affecting poultry production.
More than 30 presentations are scheduled for the meeting on topics including supply chain and labor shortages, highly pathogenic avian influenza, depopulation efficacy, No Antibiotics Ever production systems, feed sanitation, disease and foodborne pathogen management, poultry production technology, mycotoxins, vaccinations, food safety, emergency response practices, poultry house ventilation, water quality, legal issues affecting poultry growers, biosecurity, vegetative environmental buffers and pest control.
