Meetings, events prepared to continue live tradition (Keystone Farm Show)
YORK, Pa. — Amidst a multitude of virtual meetings and events this year due to COVID-19, the Keystone Farm Show at presstime continues to schedule its live exhibition.
This commercial farm and construction equipment and service provider of trade shows has been growing substantially since its inception. Now the largest show of its type in Pennsylvania, and one of the fastest growing trade shows on the East Coast, the Keystone Farm Show targets full-time farmers in the Mid-Atlantic area.
It takes place again at the York Fairgrounds at 334 Carlisle, Pa., 17404. The Fairgrounds is also known as the York Expo Center.
The show is projected to use both of the indoor and outdoor space, including the newly refurbished Heritage Hall.
The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The show management expects from 350 to 400 exhibitors this year.
The exhibitors typically include an impressive array of both small and large farm equipment; advocacy, business consulting, credit, nutrition and realty and veterinary services; animal feed, fencing, comfort, housing and nutrition suppliers; crop fertilizer, harvesting, pesticides, seeds and storage materials; transportation needs from truck bodies and tires; building heating, cooling and lighting of buildings; fuels and biopesticides, measuring instruments, software, tools, plus the latest technology equipment businesses, and more will be on hand.
A skid steer rodeo is scheduled for Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Due to Penn State’s COVID-19 travel restrictions, Keystone has not scheduled its customary seminars.
However, many of the exhibitors can provide timely data on crops and farm operations. This trade show is organized by Lee Publications, Palatine Bridge, N.Y.
The management said it looks forward to providing contact with farm and other agricultural businesses.
