Miller among Outstanding FFA Alumni winners
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 21, 2017) — This year at the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo, the FFA Alumni has awarded three alumni members for their outstanding support of the National FFA Organization.
One of the three, David Miller, began his career in agricultural education in the 1970s and encouraged schools to charter chapters.
Miller himself formed one of the first FFA Alumni chapters in Maryland. Miller also assisted in reactivating the Maryland FFA Alumni Association and served as the interim president in the first year of reactivation.
In 2006, he was elected as a National FFA Alumni Region VI Vice President, then elected president-elect after three years.
As president-elect, president and then past president, Miller achieved goals in membership growth and advocacy.
He also served on the National FFA Board of Directors and as the National FFA Board of Trustees president and the National Council for Agricultural Education treasurer.
He continues his service to FFA as a volunteer at convention and Career Development Event judge.
